Transforming Education: The Ackerman’s Legacy in Zambia
January 20, 2023
Regina, 29, is a former sponsored child from Rufunsa District, Zambia. Her former sponsor recently raised money to install a solar-powered water system at the local health clinic. Today, this system supplies clean water to Regina’s entire community
For the past fourteen years, the Ackermans of the Transearch ChildFund Foundation, have been steadfast supporters of ChildFund. It all began in 2010 when the Ackermans first encountered ChildFund’s work in Zambia. They were deeply moved by the stories of hardship and resilience, of children striving to learn despite the odds stacked against them.
From that moment on, they knew they had to do something to help. Over the years, the Ackermans have poured their time, resources, and unwavering dedication into supporting ChildFund’s projects in Zambia. They have funded scholarships, built schools, and provided access to clean water and healthcare for over 10,000 children, youth and their families. Witness the power of commitment and compassion — watch the full story in the video below.
